MEET & GREET
Who's in our Barnyard

THE CHARMING CHICKENS
Chickens may seem simplistic, but a keen observer would note that they have colorful personalities, complexities and clucky gossip. This is an ode to our feathered favorites.

THE DAPPER DUCKS
Our Cayuga ducks were one of the first arrivals to our farm ( when it was just a backyard) and have grown into a generally well-behaved flock. Their adorable waddle makes them endearing and feeding them is one of our favorite past times.

THE GALLOPING GOATS
Although goats have been known to be found in questionable circumstances, they can maintain their upstanding citizen record if they are properly entertained and well- established. Accomplishing this can be rather complicated and usually involves a very strong fence line.

THE SHAPELY SHEEP
Our sheep are the newest addition to our hobby-farm, and possibly the most useful. We use them as milk and cheese producers and are hoping to figure out how to spin their wool sometime, probably when all our kids go to college (human kids, not goat kids-although goat college sounds awesome.)
